Property-level treatment

Part of the ISWIM project focuses on technical solutions for property-level stormwater treatment for direct use within the property.

The ISWIM project also encompasses the treatment of stormwater close to properties in dense urban areas, where land and space are limited. Harnessing stormwater is one of many initiatives to reduce the use of drinking water and contribute to a sustainable society. ISWIM works in close collaboration with the REWAISE project, aiming to further develop the initiatives undertaken.

ISWIM is based on the premise that water, such as treated stormwater, must also gain acceptance and find its place in society. Therefore, social science solutions on how to adapt the technological level to societal needs are a part of the research area.
