Helena Tsiparis

Helena is a project developer at Sweden Water Research. She has a background in marine biology and was educated in England, where she completed a Master’s degree in Biodiversity, Conservation and Management. The programme was interdisciplinary, focusing on conservation biology and how it can support self-sustaining communities. After that, she moved to Lund, where she studied applied climate strategy.

Most recently, Helena worked in the public sector, specifically with the Regional Development Department at Region Skåne, where she was employed as an environmental strategist. Her role encompassed everything from climate adaptation to the green transition of businesses, with the aim of fostering Skåne’s development through collaboration and collective action.

At Sweden Water Research, Helena leads the Swedish part of the REWAISE project.
