Apply to the Climate Leap (Klimatklivet) and receive a grant for nitrous oxide meters

Four municipal wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) have recently been awarded grants from the Climate Leap to purchase nitrous oxide measurement equipments.

These are the Rya WWTP in Gothenburg, the Henriksdal and Käppala WWTPs in Stockholm, and the Fors WWTP in the Municipality of Haninge. See the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency’s press release.

Uppsala Vatten och Avfall and VA SYD have previously been awarded funding for nitrous oxide meters and shared their experiences ahead of the above applications.

The next application round for the Climate Leap runs from 24 August to 4 September 2026. If you are interested in applying and would like to see previous applications, please contact David Gustavsson.

We are now looking forward to these new installations and the emission reductions they will deliver!
