Through methods such as price and behavioural influence, for example nudging, we demonstrate how water use can be steered towards greater sustainability without changing existing legislation. We have expertise in creating incentives and business models for circular solutions that drive sustainable development. We also have knowledge that enables collaboration across the entire water value chain.
We are increasing understanding of what water management means in a Swedish context and how it affects future water and wastewater systems.
We have strengthened our European collaboration in research, development and innovation (RDI). Through deeper cooperation with other European Living Labs, we actively contribute to building a water-smart society.
Within Sweden Water Research, we have developed relevant expertise to meet future RDI challenges, particularly linked to skills provision and organisational structure in line with new and changing requirements within the water and wastewater sector.
